My name is Aaron Cooper, and I live and work in the heart of north central
Kansas Post Rock country. And although I love photography and enjoy sharing my work, I consider myself a photographer more by hobby than by trade. I’m just a guy with an appreciation for the aesthetic of my surroundings and a desire to get out and capture it. That’s what Post Rock Images is all about.
As much as I enjoy photographing the rural scenery and wide open landscapes of Kansas, the mountains of
Colorado are without a doubt my favorite subject. Back in the summer of 2008, my family and I decided to take our first vacation to Estes Park, Colorado for a week of rest and relaxation in the Rockies. As it turns out, that one visit was all it took for me to become completely hooked. Now I make it a point to venture out to Rocky Mountain National Park at least once a year. Many of my favorite images are ones I've captured there, and it has become, in a very real sense, my home away from home.
Thank you for visiting. If you have any questions, comments or would like to know more about a particular image, feel free to
